 Financial FAQs:

Q: Where does the money go?

A: The money goes for two things: Awareness and Growth.  Fortunately, in most cases, we can kill two birds with one stone.  For example, an investment in an event such as the Walk for H at the Rock n’ Roll Marathon not only does a great job of raising awareness about HSV & HPV, but promotes ProjectAccept.org at the same time, contributing to growth.

Our online awareness campaigns on Google, Bing, etc will reflect the same strategy, stretching every dollar further.  Once critical mass is achieved, there will be enough to begin grants toward cure research while continuing public growth.

In addition to the above, of course, there’s the business operations overhead, consisting chiefly of web hosting, software and services (printing, etc).

Q:  Where does the money not go?

It doesn’t go anywhere else.  All ProjectAccept.org staff and management is 100% unpaid.

Q:  Can I get a copy of your IRS filings?

ProjectAccept.org remains in good standing with the IRS.  You can view our account here.  As our revenues to date are <$50,000 per years, we remain on IRS schedule 990-EZ (or, filed electronically, a 990N)  At such time as we are required to invest in more detailed accounting services and produce more detailed audited financials, summary quarterly and annual reports will be made available to the public.  For specific financial questions, please feel free to contact us.
